Your duties

The candidate’s tasks will focus on deciphering mechanisms of early pancreatic carcinogenesis and novel therapeutic strategies using state of the art molecular biology methods as well as in vivo functional genomics. The research projects are based on previously published research (see e.g. Int J Cancer: 30412288; Cell Mol Gastroenterol Hepatol, PMID: 30258965; Gut: PMID: 27646934; PMID: 25601637; Gastroenterology: PMID: 34303658; PMID: 33388318) and strong preliminary findings with availability of established methodology, allowing the researcher to successfully further develop their projects. The coordination/supervision of research work of doctoral students is also part of the tasks of the candidate. 

Your profile

We invite applications from candidates having a degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, bioengineering or other related subjects. Previous experience in molecular biology is required as well as knowledge in the field of tumor immunology. Team spirit, capability of independent self-motivated work, basic computer skills as well as very good English and German language and communication skills are required.
