Post-Doc Position in Neuroscience

A post-doctoral position (100% E13-TV-L) is available at the Institute of Neurobiochemistry (Director: Prof. Dr. Bernd Knöll). The position is initially available for two years with the possibility of extension for up to further two years. The preferred starting time is as soon as possible.

Topic:
Our research group is interested in molecular and cellular mechanisms of neuronal regeneration focusing on peripheral nerve injuries and traumatic brain injury in the CNS. The candidate should have a strong background in cellular and molecular biology optimally in the field of neuroscience. We particularly appreciate applications from candidates bringing new experimental expertise and input to the group. The candidate should establish a project in the area of nerve regeneration or traumatic brain injury most likely involving mouse models in vivo and/or primary neuronal or glial cell cultures. Focus should be directed towards identification of new molecules, pathways or pharmacological approaches stimulating neuronal regeneration and recovery after injury.
We offer participation in our teaching activities to obtain qualification as a University lecturer.

If your are interested please send a motivation letter (2 p. max.) including ideas for potential projects, cv, publication record and name of two references until October 16th 2022 to:
