Voraussetzungen dafür sind qualifizierte und engagierte Mitarbeitende.
We are looking to fill two full-time post-doctoral positions for an industry-collaboration project in circuit neuroscience, applying various techniques of in vivo electrophysiology and behavioural analysis in combination with pharmacology in rodents.
The positions will be hosted by the group of Professor Dennis Kätzel at the Institute of Applied Physiology in the Medical Faculty of Ulm University, Germany.
They are fully funded for 2 years, possibly extendible, and should start no later than June 1st 2025.
The positions are funded according to the German TV-L system.
Applicants should hold a PhD degree, or equivalent, in neuroscience, life sciences, physics, or a related subject, and be fluent in English.
Furthermore, the candidate is required to have solid experience in the following areas:
- behavioural testing of rodents, ideally in operant and maze-based tasks
- stereotactic surgery in rodents, ideally with implantations
- electro- or optophysiology in vivo (required for one of the positions)
- data analysis and programming, ideally in MatLab and Python
- project planning and management
To apply, please submit the following in a single pdf-file:
- 1 page statement of prior research experience and motivation for the current post
- 2-4 pages CV
