Professorship (W3 oL) for Surgical Intensive Care Medicine (f/m/d)

at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine

A Professorship (W3 oL) for Surgical Intensive Care Medicine is to be filled as soon as possible at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care. The successful candidate will be head of the Interdisciplinary Surgical Intensive Care Units.
 
We are looking for a national and international highly recognized scientist with proven networks in European, interdisciplinary, intensive care societies. Experience with extracorporeal organ replacement therapies is preferable.
 
The successful candidate is expected to intensify research activities. Further, a close collaboration with the research cores of Ulm University, in particular the cancer comprehensive centre and existing special research fields (SFB 1149) as well as an active role in the ECMO-Centre of Ulm University is anticipated.


Teaching responsibilities include lectures and courses for students of medicine, dentistry, and molecular medicine. In particular, implementation of innovative teaching tools in the Ulm training hospital are requested.
 
Employment requirements are completed university studies of medicine, a doctoral degree, further pertinent scientific achievements, teaching aptitude (§ 47 LHG), a training as medical specialist in anaesthesiology as well as an additional training as intensive care physician.
